An interdisciplinary group of researchers focused on accelerating discoveries that will lead to the prevention or delay of progressive neurodegeneration and slowing the pace of biological aging.
The Geroscience and Dementia Prevention Consortium (GDPC) is a university-wide initiative which aims to improve our understanding of the hallmarks of aging and neurodegenerative processes associated with growing older. The Consortium seeks to advance the science of aging through building interdisciplinary partnerships and collaborations that integrate biological, psychosocial, and medical perspectives. The GDPC takes a “cells-to-society" approach to enable people to take actions that may delay or prevent aging-related diseases and conditions in themselves, their families, or their patients.
